African Arowana are now in stock , nice size
Joe Gonzalez They get so big and people put them in small tanks. A shame really

Certainly not a recommended use for an aquarium but is rather spectacular!.. http://youtu.be/_sAW6x0g_S4
"Jay I have never seen the..." on Jay Hand's post on Pet World's Timeline.
Why would a male red top look like it has an egg tube protruding out?
Pet World Hopefully its not early signs of Malawi Bloat. Make sure your are doing frequent water changes and feed some spirulina flake as well!

Brandi Hand Both yes, And he's not big or anything. It went away fairly quickly.

Have you ever seen Malawi blue crabs? Are they hard to come by?
Pet World Jay I have never seen the Malawi blue crab (Potamonautes orbitospinus) offered for sale. Checking the web it looks like once the Ohio Cichlid Club had a few for sale. I did see these crabs in Lake Malawi in 1982 in about 20 feet of water - pic below

"This variety of pleco is raised..." on Brandi Hand's post on Pet World's Timeline.
Hey there :) can I get some more info on the TR yellow plecos?
I put one in my glo tank (which only runs an atinic bulb, so the algae can get crazy). He is only about 2 inches, it's a 30xh, and he cleaned it spotless in two days all by himself! Excellent algae eater!
Pet World This variety of pleco is raised in the Far East and the shipments normally are imported from Vietnam or Taiwan. They are imported under the name Hypostomus plecostomus which is just the normal plecostomus, which they are not. Visit the store the first week of August and you will likely find more of these super algae eaters to add to your tanks.

Pet World The good news is now all the arowanas sold are tank raised in Indonesia; not only formosa but jardini and now the silver arowana. Sadly Formasa is protected under CITES and not available in the USA even though they are tanked raised and micro-chipped..

I first saw the little panda wiggling around in my 30 gallon tank on or around June 1st..It has been holding its own since then.
They are back! After several months of just not being available from South America we finally have Otocinclus back in stock. These Peruvian fish are strong and doing well. Otocinclus are the perfect algae eater for your planted tanks

Orange Bay Snook, a cichlid that grows to 15 to 18 inches comes from Mexico. Peaceful for its size, does best in schools. Actual color is yellow orange and not this intense red-orange.
Brandi Hand They are beautiful yellow orange though. They get super bright when they are eating something they love, like live black worms :)
